Job Summary
The Infrastructure Administrator is responsible for infrastructure engineering, implementation, deployment and support of enterprise technology services.
Responsibilities
- Engineer and design functions for our infrastructure services and applications including, but not limited to VMware hypervisor & Windows operating systems, deployment of datacenter hardware, and security compliance
- Document and maintain technology standards, configurations, and processes
- Support services for all corporate and user-level technologies
- Maintain awareness of trends and issues and evaluate new opportunities in all related technologies
- Actively participate in developing and maintaining our disaster recovery plans and solutions
- Communicate technical topics at engineering, management, and business levels
- Mentor and develop junior resources to improve technical capabilities and assume greater responsibilities
- Additional duties and projects as assigned
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, or equivalent technical qualifications and experience
- 4+ years’ experience managing and growing virtualized infrastructures using related technologies for VMware
- Experience implementing, maintaining, and upgrading Windows Server OS and Active Directory domain
- Ideal experience includes:
- Fibre channel SAN and connectivity
- Cisco UCS server infrastructure
- Pure Storage flash arrays
- Avaya IP Office phone systems
- Demonstrated ability to assess risk of technical changes
- Strong ability to proactively identify and evaluate incidents and problems, determining root cause and working intuitively towards a solution
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrated collaborative skills and ability to work well within a team
- Ability to work with and influence peers and management
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic and deadline-oriented environment
