The state created political subdivision (PSD) codes specifically for local earned income tax. The six-digit code identifies the Tax Collection District (county), the School District and the Municipality. PSD Codes help you to determine the resident and workplace location tax rates for each employee. The PSD Codes also let you know where to report your payroll taxes, and the tax officer for your workplace location.
