Are employers required to file payroll taxes quarterly with the tax officer?

Yes. The statutory deadline to file payroll taxes with the tax officer is within 30 days from the close of the calendar quarter. The exception is for those with workplace locations in multiple Tax Collection Districts (counties) who exercise the “combined monthly filer” option. These employers electronically report and file payroll tax monthly.
